1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HowLean (the “App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. Depending on the platform used, additional platform-specific terms may apply.

• iOS: If you access HowLean on iOS, your use is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (EULA):https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
• Android: If you access HowLean on Android, purchases and distribution are also subject to Google Play’s Terms and applicable Policies:https://play.google.com/about/play-terms/

If you do not agree with these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of the Service

HowLean is a mobile and web-based application that uses your device’s camera to visually analyze the visible fat content of ground meat. The App provides an estimate based on image analysis and is intended for informational and personal use only.

HowLean does not replace product labeling, laboratory testing, or professional dietary advice.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use HowLean.

By using the App, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

4. Free Trial and Paid Access

• HowLean may offer a one-time free scan for evaluation purposes.
• After the free scan, continued use requires a one-time purchase.
• A paid purchase unlocks unlimited use of the App on supported devices for the platform on which the purchase was made.
• Free trials are limited to prevent abuse and may be restricted by email and/or device.

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue free trial availability at any time.

5. Payments

Payment methods depend on the platform used.

• Web Application:
  Payments are processed securely through Stripe. HowLean does not process payments and does not store or access your payment details. HowLean does not have access to your credit card information.
• iOS App:
  Purchases are processed through Apple’s In-App Purchase and are subject to Apple’s terms and policies. HowLean does not process payments and does not store or access your payment details.
• Android App:
  Purchases are processed through Google Play Billing and are subject to Google Play’s terms and policies. HowLean does not process payments and does not store or access your payment details.
• All purchases are one-time purchases unless explicitly stated otherwise.
• Prices are shown before purchase and may change in the future.

6. Purchase Restoration

If you switch devices or clear your browser data, you may restore access by using the Restore Purchase feature through:

• Web Application: Restore using the email associated with your purchase.
• iOS and Android Apps: Restoration is handled through the platform’s built-in restore mechanisms.
• Restoration is available only for purchases made on the same platform and associated account.

It is your responsibility to provide a valid email address to enable purchase restoration.

7. Accuracy Disclaimer

HowLean provides estimates, not exact measurements.

Results may vary depending on:

• Lighting conditions
• Camera quality
• Angle and distance
• Meat texture and composition

HowLean makes no guarantees regarding accuracy and should not be relied upon for medical, nutritional, or commercial decisions.

8. No Medical or Dietary Advice

HowLean does not provide medical, nutritional, or health advice.

Always consult a qualified professional regarding dietary or health-related decisions.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use the App for unlawful purposes
• Attempt to bypass usage limits or payment systems
• Reverse engineer, copy, or resell the App
• Interfere with the App’s security or operation

10. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and functionality of HowLean are the property of PlusTime Alliance Inc., unless otherwise stated.

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal purposes only, subject to applicable platform terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• HowLean is provided “as is” and “as available”
• We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the App
• Use of HowLean is entirely at your own risk

12. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the App if these Terms are violated.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict of law principles.
